We are a coalition of parents and educators advocating for school policies grounded in independent research, public accountability and developmentally-appropriate practice. We are not anti-tech. We are pro-learning.

About Us
Schools Beyond Screens - Cy Fair ISD is a group of parents, caregivers, and educators with a shared vision of a research-based, intentional, age-appropriate approach to technology in the classroom. Our goal is to collaborate with district leaders and school board members to develop an updated district technology policy which embraces responsible technology use, centers children's cognitive and social-emotional development, and ensures that any technology adopted serves kids first, with benefits that are clear and evidence-based. What We Want
We are calling for CFISD to review existing tech products and policies, block harmful and non-educational distractions, require independent standards for efficacy, create real opt-out pathways, and involve parents, teachers, and students in setting the rules. We support technology that is intentional, limited, transparent, and genuinely useful—not technology adopted by default.
What We Believe
Children should come first in their own education, ahead of corporate interests and market trends.
Technology should facilitate learning, not inhibit it.
Technology should support teachers, not sideline them.
Technology should serve schools, not extract from them.
