CALL TO ACTION

Let’s Get LAUSD’s Landmark Screen Time Resolution Passed!

On April 21st, the Board of LAUSD will vote on “Using Technology with Intention.” This resolution is the result of over a year of sustained pressure from Schools Beyond Screens and other activists. If passed, it will mandate the creation of a district-wide policy governing how (and how much) tech is used in our schools.

Here’s how you can help:

Use one of our email templates to lobby your district board member for stronger language or a YES vote.
Join us in person on 4/21 to cheer on the passage of this historic resolution. RSVP here !
Recruit teachers to join SBS and share our teacher survey with them.
Volunteer to help organize, create assets, or lead an SBS chapter at your school. Email: info@schoolsbeyondscreens.com
Share this flyer, which has more info & clickable links:

Teachers Over Tech

$\"\"$

\n\n

LAUSD teachers are demanding better pay, increased support staff, and more special education resources. UTLA is prepared to strike on 4/14 if an agreement with the district is not reached, and SBS stands with teachers.

If the district can afford $1.9 billion in for-profit tech contracts, it can afford to pay its educators a fair wage.

No one remembers their favorite app; no one forgets their favorite teacher.
