Driven by local parents, Schools Beyond Screens- San Luis Coastal advocates for technology policies grounded in independent research, public accountability, and developmentally-appropriate practice.

San Luis Coastal has made some good progress in this space, but we can do better! We seek to support the school district in being a leader in this space.

Things YOU can do NOW:

1) Lead by example: Take the Wait Until 8th pledge, and commit to not getting your child a smartphone until at least the end of 8th grade.
2) Get data: Sign up to see the what your child is doing on their district issued chromebook and how much time they are spending on it here using the Lightspeed portal.
